Nurses Are Professionals

Friends,

As many of you likely know, the US Dept of Ed has determined that nurses, audiologists, social workers,  and other health PROFESSIONS are NOT PROFESSIONS  and are not worthy of loan repayments! 

Yes, I am on my soapbox: We are scientists, leaders in health care settings and the community, advanced practice providers, nurse anesthetists, and nurse midwives. Similarly our colleagues in audiology and social work have critical roles to play.

This obviously has profound implications for individuals and their loan burden, as well as for our discipline/profession and the health of our patients and communities. It also has implications for our colleges and universities.

Please consider signing on to the petition below to support us and our graduate-prepared colleagues.
